The Flavor of Tradition


Our journey to Discover the True Neapolitan Pizza reaches Basilicata

The True Neapolitan Pizza Tour continues throughout Italy. On July 16th, we’ll stop in Basilicata, to the Pizzeria Pub Fandango in Scalera, Filiano. The host Salvatore Gatta and the "guest" Master pizza maker Domenico Scola (pizzeria Anna in Agropoli) will give life to an evening chaired by Laura Gambacorta, dedicated to the the traditional flavors in collaboration with the group Radeberger’s  beers, Le 5 Stagioni, Agrigenus, Casa Barone, Ciao il pomodoro di Napoli and Ferrarelle. During the event you can also taste the oils of Frantoio Oleario Pace, which will be subsequently used for the various pizzas in tasting:

- Margherita Verace with San Marzano tomatoes of Agro Nocerino Sarnese and Buffalo Mozzarella paired with Dab;

- Mastunicola revisited, pizza with unfiltered extra virgin olive oil, basil, pepper, pecorino of Filiano, Ferrandina’s baked olives and crispy pepper of Senise IGP paired with Schoefferhofer Hefe Weizen;

- Pizza Cilentana with pomodorini del piennolo del Vesuvio Dop anchovies, capers and black olives paired with Norbertus Heller Bock;

- L’ Oro di Napoli: Pizza with San Marzano tomatoes, Lucan black pork soppressata, buffalo mozzarella, carboncelli mushrooms and shavings of caciocavallo podolico of Basilicata paired with craft beer Braufactum Indra.
