The Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana has concluded its participation in Sigep Asia 2026 with outstanding results.
The international trade fair dedicated to gelato, pastry, bakery and foodservice, organised by IEG Asia — the Asian subsidiary of Italian Exhibition Group — took place in Singapore from July 15th to 17th. For three days, the Association's booth D33 became a vibrant showcase of Neapolitan tradition, drawing industry professionals, foodservice operators and enthusiasts from across Southeast Asia.
At the heart of AVPN's presence was the masterclass "L'Arte della Verace: Live Show & Tasting", held twice daily for a total of six sessions throughout the event. The format was designed to bring true Neapolitan pizza to life in front of a live audience — from dough preparation to shaping, from topping to wood-fired baking, through to the final tasting. Leading the sessions were affiliated pizzaioli Peter Surace, Matteo Minante of Pocofino Pizzeria and Dih Yang Yee of Dihyang Pizzeria — three outstanding interpreters of Neapolitan tradition, who conveyed to an international public the depth and complexity behind a product that is only seemingly simple.
The quality of AVPN's presence at Sigep Asia was also acknowledged at an institutional level. The booth was visited by Giorgio Calveri, Trade Commissioner and ICE Director for Singapore and the Philippines, and by Giampiero Valeo, Commercial Attaché at the Italian Embassy in Singapore, reflecting the attention Italian institutions pay to the promotion of Italy's gastronomic heritage in Asian markets. Also present was Ilaria Cicero, Chief Executive Officer of IEG Asia, the company behind Sigep Asia — a visit that underscores AVPN's role as a key partner in the promotion of Italian food culture on the international trade fair circuit.
Coordinating the Association's activities on the ground were Tammaro Landolfo, Junior Marketing and Peter Surace, AVPN Trainer, who oversaw every moment of the three-day Singapore programme.
The participation in Sigep Asia was made possible thanks to the support of partners Molino Dallagiovanna, Agriconserve Rega, Sori, Manna Forni, Gi.Metal and Pocofino — companies that share AVPN's commitment to bringing true Neapolitan pizza further and further into the world, without ever compromising on the quality and authenticity of the disciplinare.
Sigep Asia 2026 closes on a highly positive note for the Association, reaffirming its commitment to maintaining a presence in the world's most dynamic international markets, in the firm belief that true Neapolitan pizza still has much to tell the world.
