The AVPN in the world. From Japan to Australia,  pizza is celebrating

More than five thousand of pizzas baked in three days. The Pizza Fest in Shiodome Tokyo, organized by the Japanese delegation of the True Neapolitan Pizza Association the second year in a row was a real success. The Japanese public has enthusiastically participated in the event dedicated to pizza, filling the places of the event. About a dozen Japanese pizza masters took turns in the preparation of the dough and baking, under the supervision of the Vice President of AVPN Lello Surace and adviser Ciro Salvo


flew into Tokyo for the occasion along with Massimo Di Porzio (Vice President vicar) and Stefano Auricchio (Marketing Manager AVPN).
The Pizza Fest in Japan also hosted Napoli Pizza Contest, the only competition, organized by AVPN, dedicated to Neapolitan pizza abroad open just to Japanese pizza makers. The winner in the category Classica Hiroki Sakamoto comes from the pizzeria Fantasista, followed by Shin Iizuka and Kazuma Shiga from Amici.

The two pizza makers also distinguished themselves for the best pizza Fantasia, they won gold and silver medals. Bronze, instead, to Hiroshi Yamane from Partenope. Kazuma Shiga, also won in the category Artistica, distinguishing himself for the particular creative talent.
The winners in the categories Classica and Fantasia have been awarded with the voucher to participate in the next Olympics True Neapolitan Pizza, which will be held in the capital of Campania.

Moreover, everything´s ready in Sydney, Australia for 'The Spirit of Naples - Pizza in the Piazza Festival 2012'. The event will be the final appointment of the 'Crave Sydney International Food Festival', the most important event dedicated to food and gastronomy in Australia, which will take place during the month of October.

Johnny Di Francesco, Australian AVPN referent will welcome the public on October 21, accompanied by Lucio De Falco, owner of the pizzeria Lucios of Darlinghurst. The program includes a practical demonstration on dough, a seminar on the importance of cooking with wood fire in the preparation of pizza, and four master classes.
