Founded in the early 1940s from an idea of Angelo Ferruccio Rovagnati and his son Paolo, through continuous improvements to products, processes and plants, and major investments in innovation of machinery, methods and solutions, Rovagnati is today a leader among Italian cured meat companies and recognized worldwide. With a turnover of more than 335 million euros and approx. 1,200 workers, it is now present in more than 20 countries around the world. In addition, the Group operates seven farms, including its own facilities and others in succession. The six production plants in Italy are specialized by category, a choice that makes it possible to guarantee the quality of products and attention to processes (Biassono for cooked ham, Villasanta for sliced and short cured meats, Arcore for ready meals, Felino and Sala Baganza for raw ham, and Faenza for mortadella). In September 2021, the company inaugurated a new production plant in Vineland (US), thus beginning a new phase in its history abroad, which had already begun several years ago with the export of products. The brand portfolio is now articulated, thanks to the constant investment in brands made over time: ranging from the company's traditional flagship product, Gran Biscotto, to the premiumness of Borgo Rovagnati, from the healthy positioning of Snello and Naturals to the convenience of I Firmati, and to ready meals lines such as the historic Panatine brand. The legacy of the company's history is constantly translated into the search for new vision, and every day the idea of founder Paolo Rovagnati that “quality is the answer to every question” is put into practice.
