Vera Pizza Day, 24 hours of live streaming with the Pizza protagonist on all continents

EVERYTHING IS READY FOR THE “VERA PIZZA DAY”, THE EVENT SIGNED BY THE AVPN THAT CELEBRATES THE MOST ICONIC MADE IN ITALY PRODUCT. 14 COUNTRIES ARE INVOLVED, THE MEETING WILL BE IN 10 DIFFERENT LANGUAGES

On January 17th, for the Sant’Antuono festival, third edition of the marathon organized by the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana. From Naples to Naples, a world tour through 22 masterclasses will be live streamed on the YouTube channel “@pizzanapoletanaverace

Looking forward to know who is going to get the number 1000 form the AVPN

At midnight (Italian time) on January 17th when Paolo Surace, AVPN’s general secretary, is going to start the fire of Sant’Antuono, at the AVPN headquarters in Capodimonte, Naples. That precise moment will start the third edition of "Vera Pizza Day": by holding this event, AVPN celebrates the most iconic product of Made in Italy with a 24-hour marathon that will cross all continents.

All the 22 masterclasses can be seen live on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0F0e4ec6OOM, for a journey that will cross 14 countries, in a beautiful Babel that will see 10 languages used and which will end, again in Naples, at the stroke of midnight, with greetings and an appointment for the 2024 edition.

"Many countries, many different languages and one sure thing: Neapolitan pizza represents a sort of Esperanto that everyone understands and everyone loves - says Antonio Pace, AVPN President - The "Vera Pizza Day" took very little time to gain the attention of the press, passionate and simply curious as the World Pizza Day. A global event that allows you to fully understand the appeal that this product has on billions of people and which, during the non-stop, develops an incredible number of contacts from every corner of the world".

And the world will truly be the stage that Neapolitan pizza will take over the course of the 24 hours. The first masterclass will take place in the new headquarters of the AVPN School in Sydney (00.30 Italian time), to be followed by the West Coast (USA), Japan, Venezuela, East Coast (USA), again Australia and Japan and then Egypt, Turkey, France, Germany, Spain, Poland, USA again, Brazil, Canada and other countries. A wonderful journey where the pizza makers were asked to create, in addition to the Margherita, their more "personal" version and to make a pizza with typical products of their territory. A special space will be given to the fried pizza, absolute protagonist in 4 countries (USA, Japan, Brazil, Australia). An Important role it’s played by some of AVPN’s schools around the world, with meetings with Naples, Los Angeles, Shanghai, Granada and Sidney.

In addition to the masterclasses, there is great anticipation for the conference (at 3.30 pm Italian time) which will have as its central theme a petition for an initiative to be carried out in the next edition and that will see AVPN alongside the Univerde Foundation directed by Alfonso Pecoraro Scanio. Always in the same time frame (3.30/4.30 pm), and in collaboration with Univerde, the "Sant'Antuono Awards” will be assigned, an award that rewards personalities from journalism, not just who have particularly distinguished themselves in the promotion of Pizza culture. In the meantime, the curiosity to know the name of the pizzeria that will be assigned the table number 1000 from the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana is growing.

“There are all the ingredients to spend an extraordinary 24 hours together – concludes Pace – and to confirm the importance of a day which offers the opportunity to experience live lessons with master pizza makers from all over the world but which, at the same time, represents for all insiders the opportunity for a discussion on the many issues that cross our sector. The initiative of making January 17th the day universally dedicated to Neapolitan pizza was born from an AVPN idea and which various realities are trying, in an often inadequate way, to make their own".

The conference and the Vera Pizza Day initiative see the participation of international partners such as Molino Dallagiovanna, Molino Denti, Le 5 Stagioni, La Fiammante, Latteria Sorrentina, Gimetal, Ooni, Manna and ITS.

Technical partners of the initiative are the two young Neapolitan companies Jungle Juice ADV and Sokan Communication.
