Hupai is home to a thrivering pizza business that would not be out of place in Naples.
Dante's is the first pizzeria in New Zealand to achieve membership of the prestigious culinary institute, Associazione verac pizza napoletana.
It's one of only 276 pizzerias worldwide to meet the association's strict standards.
Dante's owner and pizza chef Kevin Morris specialises in the neapolitan variety - a combination of tomato, mozzarella, extra virgin olive oil and basil.
Coming from a culinary family Mr. Morris grew up watching his grandfather-who the business is named after- making dough in his pizzeria in Italy.
He is dedicated to preserving and promoting authentic neapolitan pizza.
Helensville MP and National Party leader John Key wasted no time rolling up his sleeves in a one-one pizza making lesson when he visited Dante's.
The final product was met with approval by Mr. Key who described it as delicious. The chance to swap politics for pizza could also be tempting.
"If John ever wanted a part-time job I'd happily employ him", Mr. Morris says...
